Directions
Assynt House is situated only 20 miles north of Inverness just outside the small village of Evanton, Ross-shire. The holiday house is nestled amongst woodland and peaceful farmland within easy reach of Inverness-shire, Sutherland, Ross-shire and the Black Isle.
Inverness Airport is approximately a 45-minute drive and has direct flights from London Luton, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Belfast and the Scottish Islands as well as Italy, Amsterdam, Croatia and Switzerland.
Glasgow is approx 4 hours and Edinburgh 3 1/2-hour scenic drive away.
Inverness is easily accessible by rail, as are our nearest towns; Alness and Dingwall. There are also overnight train services on the Caledonian Sleeper direct from London Euston to Inverness.
From Inverness follow the A9 signposted North towards Wick, which takes you over the Kessock Bridge and then the Cromarty Bridge. Once over the Cromarty Bridge turn right at the roundabout signposted A9 North. Evanton is signposted to the left of the A9, take this turning and follow the road through the village of Evanton.
Immediately after the Black Rock Caravan Park on your left there is a signpost to Assynt 1½ miles and Glenglass 5 miles. Turn left and keep left, following the road for exactly 1½ miles, after a sharp right turn in the road Assynt Farm will appear on your left. Turn right before you reach the farm, the house sign is on a large stone, we have two white gates at the entrance, then just follow the drive up to Assynt House.
